With the new 2013 Acura RDX, that’s kind of tempting. I have finally found a car that I absolutely love. I spent weeks driving this car and put it through some tests that ultimately made this vehicle one of my top 5 favs.
Let me tell you about the all-new 2013 Acura RDX.
The new Acura RDX has the unique ability to be the right size for any situation. It achieves this feat in typical Acura fashion by incorporating thoughtful design and ingenious engineering.
The result is a vehicle that provides the luxury and comfort of a large SUV with the moves and fuel economy of a small SUV. Intelligently built for the way you live your life. It fits. No matter what you need it for.
The all-new RDX reflects a new kind of luxury that values the resourceful. An engine that’s powerful yet efficient. Technology that optimizes your time. A design that puts excellence ahead of excess.
It boasts many great options but one of my favorites is the option to set your driver settings, great for those who have a spouse much taller than you. No more moving the seats back and forth every time you get in the car. Oh no. Set this bad boy to whatever number you’d like and you’re all set.
This was one of the first things I did when I got in the car.
The navigation controls were easy to figure out. I definitely think the navigation package is a must-have as it made trips easy and hassle-free. Was great not messing with maps on your phone. Just set your route and forget about it.
The trunk, the space, the cargo area! Oh my! 8 bags of mulch from Home Depot fit in this cargo area with NO problem. Oh yes, I put it to the home improvement & shopping test.
Driving the RDX through a curvy stretch of road puts you more in mind of a sports car than an SUV. With its low center of gravity and features like speed-sensitive power steering, the RDX handles with surprising agility.
The best collision is the one that never happened. With this in mind, the RDX has been outfitted with a variety of safety technol- ogies. Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA®) with motion-adaptive electric power steering works to sense oversteer or understeer and can brake individual wheels and/or reduce engine power to help keep you in control. The system also features a traction control function to help prevent wheelspin during acceleration.
The best highway gasoline fuel economy for a V-6 in its class.
During cruising,100% of the power goes to the front wheels, helping minimize fuel consumption. Under hard acceleration, or when climbing a hill, the sys- tem distributes variable torque to the back wheels, maximizing available traction.
In addition to reacting to wheel slippage, the all- wheel-drive system can also sense where slippage is likely to occur and send power where it’s needed most. The result is a smooth and almost transparent transition between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

All in all, the 2013 Acura RDX was one of the best vehicles that we’ve driven in quite a while. We were thoroughly impressed.
