Modern Day Moms is an award-winning national publication written by moms with articles centered around the latest trends, crafts, recipes, must-haves & more. Nominated by Parents magazine as the “Best All-Around Mom Blog”, this blog was also a finalist in the CBS News “Most Valuable Blogger” awards. As of March 2013, Modern Day Moms’s network has a social media reach of over 300,000+, not counting their large monthly blog readership.
Known for their delicious recipes, easy-to-make crafts & travel recommendations (just to name a few), the relationships that these moms have created are nothing short of amazing. Modern Day Moms & Martha Stewart have joined forces for 2013 to bring DIY Crafts to this blog. The Martha Stewart brand is known worldwide for inspiring and engaging consumers with unique products and information. Like this blog, they are growing at an amazing pace. Though it’s been in the works a while, the Martha Stewart / Modern Day Moms partnership will run throughout all of 2013. Each month, Modern Day Moms will create crafts for Martha Stewart featuring her own products from the Martha Stewart Crafts line.
Since starting over 2 years ago, Modern Day Moms has worked with thousands of companies and formed amazing relationships that continue to grow. Through their popular online blog & social media avenues, they have successfully accomplished large goals set-forth by companies to help spread the word and create brand awareness & buzz regarding products and news. From being brand ambassadors to travel guides, there is nothing these moms can’t do.
2012 brought many adventures for Modern Day Moms including traveling to Cancun for a media trip where they were sent to create buzz around the re-branding of a popular hotel to heading down to Louisiana, where the founder, Jessica, spent 4 days working alongside the Tabasco executives to get inspired and contracted to come up with recipes of her own using Tabasco products. Now that we are into 2013, it has been their best year yet and it’s only just begun! With adventures to Aruba, New York, Texas, Florida and North Carolina already under their belt, these moms will continue their on-going partnership with Martha Stewart & Everyday Food as well as travel, provide high-quality content and continue plans to take their brand one step further each and every day.
The Team:
Jessica, the founder & managing editor of Modern Day Moms, is a wife to a talented artist and mom to a cute little girl who prefers No Doubt to Disney songs. She spends her time making sure the site runs smoothly, editing articles, managing the editorial calendar all while traveling, handling the social media profiles, brand & client relationships not to mention, all the e-mails.
Megan, facebook administrator and site photographer, is a wife and mom to two adorable kiddies, one of which could be a “superman” clone. She also provides photography services for many of the adventures these moms find themselves on. With a camera in hand, she is known to climb wooden fences and bend over backwards to make sure the best photographic opportunity is captured.
Kendra, full-time wife, mom and thriving bridal business owner, lends her hand from time-to-time when one of the editors is in a pinch. She is known to hop on a plane in a snap and will be there to cover any event that is needed. She also has some awesome dance moves that we have photographic evidence of during one of these trips.
Cheryl, a long-time contributor to this blog, is a california-raised country girl and has been known to pull a recipe out of her drawer that is over 30 years old, scan it in and blog about it. She has an old-fashioned soul and offers amazing tips & advice, the same that your mother probably gave you. Before going on a trip, she will research the history of the city, the place she is staying and provide more information than you know what to do with… and that’s why she makes a wonderful contributor to this site.
