If you are a parent, chances are you have a pack of wipes handy at all times. After a few years, I finally got the bright idea to keep them in my car. You see, originally I tried the “no food or drinks in the car, ever” and then we’d go on a road trip or you know, a drive that is longer than 2 hours and that rule flew right out the window.
So then, I tried to keep a trash bag in the car. How hard is it to throw food & trash in the bag? Apparently little kids CANNOT comprehend that easy task so we moved on to trying to remove the food after we arrived at our destination. That worked for a while but you’d be surprised at all the places little kids manage to get food when they are eating it in the car.
Then you know… a few weeks later you start smelling something really, REALLY weird and you have no idea what it could be until you find that old rotten moldy hamburger or apple… or even worse, BANANA. Ugh, they stink when they are rotten!
This my friends… is called car-posting and I’m sure you’ve done your part. According to the Clorox Ick-tionary, Car-posting kahr poh-sting // A moldy piece of food left in a car that literally starts to compost.
The Ick-tionary is a way to help parents change the way they talk about and feel about messes by creating a new vocabulary around life’s messy moments.
