Design Inspiration: What Inspires

I have spent the last few days cleaning. Not just any cleaning, deep cleaning. Scrubbing base boards, washing rugs, spot treating carpets, vacuuming every corner, washing shower curtains (I use fabric ones) and pretty much every other household chore you could think of.

I’m in the mood to clean and decorate. I decided to write a post and share some of the latest decor/decorating images that I’ve found inspiring. I hope you do too. I have shared these on our instagram account: moderndaymoms. If you are on instagram, be our friend!

1. This basket project from Martha Stewart Living is so inspiring. Spray paint + baskets = love. I love this metallic look. This is definitely going to be a must-try.

A think a little metallic accent in a room goes a long way. What better way to spruce up a room and use metallics then by having something that is functional and useful. I would use a metallic basket as a way to hold magazines or maybe even toys. Oh, this would be adorable in a kids room.

2. This Parsons Desk with Drawers from West Elm. I love everything about this room from the colors to the white desk & bookcase.

3. Chevron.

I’d like to hand it to you for having an amazing preference for furniture and interior designs. Out of the three, I admire your resourcefulness on the basket and metallic spray paint that not only helps in decorating the room but also has its use as a container.
