80 degree weather, swaying palm trees, a golden sunset and a steaming cup of tea. What, not the beverage you had in mind?

Although I live in Hawaii and am blessed with perpetual weather bliss, I still enjoy a nice cup of tea and I am head over heels in love with the products offered by Traditional Medicinals. I’ve been a fan of these herbal teas for quite some time but it wasn’t until I became pregnant that I really swore myself to these products.

Traditional Medicinals offer a great line of herbal teas geared towards women including my favorite the Organic Pregnancy Tea. This tea has hints of raspberry (a natural supporter of birth) spearmint and the perfect balance of bitter and spicy to keep you refilling that tea kettle and filling up for more. Now that I’m breastfeeding I find myself reaching for Organic Mother’s Milk another fabulous herbal tea that supports healthy lactation and may even increase milk production. The combination of anise, fennel and coriander has been in traditional medicine for centuries and makes for one great brew that is great for you!

Other than the pleasant taste and fragrant aroma of these teas I also love Traditional Medicinals commitment to organic and fair trade ingredients. As if their commitment to organic herbs wasn’t enough, the company also off sets their electricity through the use of solar and wind power, packages their teas in recycled paper and has even switched all of their company vehicles over to hybrids and alternative fuel bio-diesels. This is one company that deserves some serious recognition for a fabulous product and as a role model for other companies interested in becoming more earth friendly.
