Go Crib

I’m a little embarrassed to admit this but here goes: It took me 2 hours to set up my sons Pack ‘N Play crib. No joke.

2 Freaking hours of sweating, cursing, twisting, pulling, lugging, feet stomping and flipping through an instructional booklet only to find a tiny section that was actually in English to guide me through my assembly nightmare.

The crib is set up and it’s awesome but it’s definitely not something that I would ever want to break down, move and set up again. For starters the dang thing weighs 26lbs! I realize 26lbs isn’t that much but when your baby is upwards of 15lbs (and growing like a weed) plus a 10lb diaper bag, purse and whatever else you may be lugging, the addition of an awkward shaped crib weighing nearly 30lbs is the last thing you want to “Pack”.

I had hoped our Pack ‘N Play crib would be something we would be able to actually umm “pack” and use for “play” but after my assembly headache the darn thing is staying put! I wish I had researched more about what type of crib was really going to work for what I wanted but unfortunately I didn’t know any better.

Let’s enter fantasy world for a moment shall we? My dream portable crib would be something sturdy enough for my son to sleep in since we stay at grandma’s house every weekend, something light enough to bring out to the pool/beach/park and would include some type of sunshade and bug netting.

Now let me wave my magical wand and introduce you all to the Go Crib!

The Go Crib (which I of course discovered AFTER purchasing my nightmare Pack ‘N Play) is the newest and greatest thing to ever hit the portable crib market. Weighing in at 7lbs the Go Crib has no large metal or plastic components and is incredibly compact. It comes with its own backpack making it amazingly easy to take with you. The Go Crib is safe and strong, there are no hinges or confusing mechanisms. It’s structure is rounded and soft with curved sidewalls eliminating hard edges and corners. The Go Crib is constructed out of PVC, Phthalate Free, and Lead Free non-toxic materials and features a breathable, see through mesh allowing full airflow and unobstructed views of your child. Best of all, the Go crib features a dual-seal valve making inflation a snap. And don’t worry about springing a leak, the Go Crib is constructed out of anti-puncture material improving the strength and stiffness of the crib.

Check this thing out in action:

Did I mention that beginning July 1st the Go Crib will also offer some pretty sweet accessories? Remember that sunshade I had dreamed of? Yup, they have it. And the bug netting too!

Save yourself an afternoon of parts lists and matching A to B. Buy the Go crib and spend all that wasted assembly time at the beach!

Go Crib is at the top of my “must have” list and it should be on yours too. Head over to the Go Crib website for order information!

* I forgot to mention that the Go Crib has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you don’t LOVE your new crib you can send it back (on their dollar) for a complete refund. Bet you really can’t resist now! *

* I was not compensated for this review and I have not personally tried the Go Crib but dream of owning one *

This is seriously probably one of the coolest things! I would say perfect for a beach trip but living in Bossier City, there are no beaches here :'(

Hi quick question please, would really appreciate a response as my husband and I are trying to make a decision on a crib at the moment. Do you use this in place or a regular crib in the home, or this is an “additional” crib for use on travel, at the grandparents etc?

Hey there Chinwe, we got the details on the GoCrib from Heather for you!

“The Go Crib is meant to be a portable option but we personally have one and feel it could be used as a primary crib if space is limited. The only draw back to the crib is that the mattress is very thin. We love our crib for traveling and for when we stay at grandma’s or are out and about and I would definitely recommend it in this type of use. I would recommend checking out their website for better info and pictures.” – Heather

      Hope that helps!
