I’m the kind of person who likes to plan a party in advance but my husband is the kind of person who can plan a party last minute with 5 minutes to spare.
I love to plan everything out, make sure the dishes are cleaned off and ready to use and find some fancy decorations for dressing up the table.
One thing that I do think makes any dinner party easier is planning your meal/menu ahead. If you know what you are going to serve, you have time to prepare and more time to focus on other things while your food is cooking.
You can print up place cards, fill a mason jar with rocks and place a tea-light on top. I have always loved the idea of hanging mason jars… one day, I just might be brave enough to try this:

I am definitely the kind of person to over-analyze and plan ahead when it comes to dinner parties but to me, that just makes it that much more fun.
