Indestructibles – The Baby-Proof Books

My kids DESTROYED books. Ripping, tossing, chewing and tearing – books were “well loved” at our house. Now that they are old enough to be a bit more respectful to literature, I’ve discovered Indestructibles – “built for the way babies read.” While its too late for me to put these to good use, its not too late for you!

Founded by a mother of triplets, Indestructibles were created with little book destroyers in mind. These little books are amazing! They are waterproof, tear-resistant and can withstand almost anything your baby can throw at it (or throw them at). In fact, if they get grimy, you can toss them right into the bathtub with your little one! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Seriously, isn’t my baby going to destroy an Indestructible if I give her free reign with it?
Nope. Seriously. We haven’t yet had an Indestructible torn or destroyed by a baby. Crinkled, yes, but we’ve heard some moms comment that the more crinkly they get, the more their babies love them.

Indestructibles are super duper safe – free of BPA, phalates, PVC and lead – allowing you to relax when your baby inevitably puts them directly into his or her mouth. These not only make great gifts for your own kids, but awesome baby shower gifts too! You can check out the full line of Indestructibles through the publisher or find them wherever books are sold.

Would you like to win a pack of Indestructibles?! We’re giving away packs of FIVE books to THREE lucky winners this week!

The winners are…

  • # 14 Molly Y. – We totally need these! My one year old has been destroying all her cardboard books and will chew the spines and rip them apart!
  • #22 Tracy – These would be great to have. My son has done it all to books, from taking bites out of them to separating the front and back of the pages in his touch and feel book.
  • #6 Sarah – I like Indestructibles on Facebook!

Congrats! Keep your eyes out for an email from us!

*I was in no way compensated for this review, I just think they’re super neat!*

My daughter needs these! She loves books so much, but even the board books she completely destroys! Her favorite board book currently has a half-eaten cover. haha Thanks for the opportunity to win some of these, they look like an awesome product!

My daughter definitely needs these! She loves books but loves to pull out pages and eat/rip out pages, too! She’s currently only allowed to read & play with her board books because they are a little harder for her to destroy!

I like Indestructables on Facebook! :)

I love these books! I bought some regular board books for my little guy and he destroyed them! I’m sure he would love reading these books :)

I got out of the shower to find my younger son in a ripped pile of book pages with a HUGE smile on his face so proud of himself! He has his own bucket of books he loves to destroy but that day it was his big brother’s!

  • Kaydee

    I liked them on Facebook.

My son is 13 months old. He has 2 favorite books, all of which I’m in copy #4 because he has pulled them from the book shelf without us seeing and eaten, ripped, dropped milk into so the pages stuck together and gernerally destroyed them. Starting with copy #3, we put them WAY up away from him, but now he tries to “help” when it’s story time and we have ripped and crumpled pages in both the home and travel copies. I so can’t win. :(

My son is obsessed with books. He just turned 1 a week ago and honestly can’t get enough of books! I’ve had to buy multiple copies of his favorites because he’s a little wild with them! He loves to “turn the pages” and do the interactive things such as “life the flaps” in his oh so NOT gentle ways. I think these books would be perfect for him!!

    I also “liked” on Facebook!

We totally need these! My one year old has been destroying all her cardboard books and will chew the spines and rip them apart!

We really need Indestructibles. My 18 month old is in the tearing stage. I am constantly taping my 3 year olds books and throwing away books that cannot be fixed again/at all. Even board books are not safe.

I would love to win these for my nephew to give them to him on Christmas! Liked Indestructibles on Facebook!

I’m always so surprised at the events that follow after buying a new book for my daughter. I get so excited about sharing the beautiful pages or interested flaps that may have something hidden to grab her attention even more. But what does she want to do??? Eat it. Ha! Every book in our house has the corner missing, flaps eaten, and edges nibbled off. We’d love something indestructible!

  • Amanda Klenner

My little muffin likes to chew on books and eats off the corners, she has also discovered the joy of putting cardboard books in the dog water or toilet bowl (if we forget to close the door). We NEED an indestructible book.

Would love these… every baby I know LOVES to eat books! I’m hoping my little one due in Nov. will be different, but just in case… :)

  • Tracy

These would be great to have. My son has done it all to books, from taking bites out of them to separating the front and back of the pages in his touch and feel book.

my LO is 7 weeks and we are trying to read to her as much as possible – I want her to be able to ‘read’ with us when she gets a bit older and these books seem perfect!

  • Melanie Ivie

My boys love to demolish books: ripping pages, eating them, used as a chew toy, bending back the covers, whatever a kid can do with a book it has been done! A book that won’t be put in the trash after so long sounds great to me!

  • Melanie Ivie

My daughter is only a year old and we already have plenty of books that are crumpled and/or torn :( But she loves to look through them by herself and these would be awesome for that!

Yes, we could definitely use these! As with most babies, he loves to eat EVERTTHING, including his lovely books. I currently have to hide all non-board books. My son also likes to “share” his books to our bunny, who immediately starts to eat the edges off. Are they indestructible to Bunny’s as well? :)

  • Katie F.

My son is only 8 months old, but we’re already getting a glimpse at what is coming our way. Since he’s teething, everything goes into his mouth…books included. It would be great to have something that I can give him that I know he won’t be able to destroy.

  • Katie F.

  • Ashley MERVAU

Gentry is at the oral stage of life and every book mine or his has to go straight in to his wet mouth. These seem like they will withstand the wetness and those pointy little teeth popping through

  • angela goff

My daughter’s new trick is to put EVERYTHING in the dog’s water bowl… including her books. :-/ We need some indestructibles!

  • Jean Tryon

As my kids are growing up and getting ready to graduate high school I am anticipating grandchildren. I love books and so do my kids and I have a collection of books from when they were little, but the ones from the baby/toddler stage are all gone from how hard on them they were. There were books we bought multiple copies of due to how well loved they were. My son was great for cleaning up his room when he was little, but everything just got tossed into the toy box, books included, this alone managed to destroy a few of them. I wish I could have found something like this years ago. In anticipation of times to come, I would love a set of these on our shelves for babies.

  • Laura J.

Wow, this is a really neat product! I especially love that you can wash the books! My daughter, who is 20 months old, is potty training. She once had an accident and peed on a board book-and there was nothing I could do about it. I knew I couldn’t wash it, or even get the smell out…I was a little sad that it had to be thrown away! My daughter and I both love reading together and we would love indestructible books :)

I also liked indestructible’s on Facebook and I’m telling all my mom friends!

  • Kaydee

My 2 year old is all about his “Lamby” right now so I’d love to have the Mary Had A Little Lamb book!

These would be perfect for our littlest addition, especially if he’s anything like his brother who could destroy a book in 2.5 seconds when he was little!

  • Staci A

    I liked Indestructibles. Thanks!

  • Brooke H

Books are our favorite chew toy around here :) Indestructibles – what a wonderful idea!!

  • Allison

My 8-month-old daughter loves books. Loves them so much that she finds her way to our bookshelf, pushes the “blockade” we have created to the side, grabs one of the biggest books she can get her little hands on, and attempts to eat it. Since we bought her an Indestructible, this has cut down tremendously. PERFECT shower gift for anyone, seriously!

  • Clidna

Totally need these – I don’t think we even own kids books any more that don’t look like they’ve been chewed by a goat! And my one-year-old LOVES books :D

The Mama and Baby book looks so cute!

  • Jamie

My 5 year old destroyed every book she has ever gotten. She LOVES to look at books, but always destroyed them.
Now her 1 year old brother is the same way. He loves to look at HER books, but ends up tearing them up! I’d love to have a set of books JUST for him that he can’t hurt! I love that they are childhood stories everyone grew up with, but that they don’t have words. My daughter likes to get her books out and make up stories to read to her brother and these would be PERFECT for brother, sister story time!!

  • Jamie

I’ve liked them on facebook for awhile now!

  • Jasmine

my son teeths on books and always tears them up. These would be great
