Choosing The Best Mobile Carrier For Your Family

Submitted by Modern Day Moms on February 22, 2012Comments

There are many phone carriers to choose from these days. With promises of upgrades and low priced plans, it often comes down to making a pros and cons list to see which best suits your family.

I know first hand that it is frustrating to want that new phone that just came out but your upgrades are not due until 2013.

I’m here to tell you a little bit about US Cellular and why their Rewards Program is perfect for us moms.

Rewards Program
With U.S. Cellular, you can earn points to redeem for new phones, accessories, ringtones and more by doing things you already do—like paying your bill or adding a line. Easy as that.

Faster, No-Contract Upgrades
With the rate cool new phones are coming out these days, do you really want to wait two years for an upgrade? U.S. Cellular® lets you use reward points to get a new phone faster without a new contract.

Overage Protection
Nobody likes surprises on their bill. That’s why we’re got you covered with Overage Protection, Overage Cap and Overage Forgiveness.

Free Incoming Calls, Texts, Pix
We don’t think it’s right to charge you for things you can’t control—like calls and messages people make to you. That’s why every last incoming one is free.

Battery Swap
This is one of my favorites. If you are out of town, don’t have you charger but REALLY need your phone… this one is your lifesaver. For example: if your battery is dead or dying and you can’t get to a charger, just bring it in to any U.S. Cellular® store, and they will give you a fully charged one.

Online Auto Pay Discount
You can get a monthly discount for signing up for My Account and automatic payments:
• 3% for paying with a credit or debit card
• 5% for paying with a checking account

One of the reasons I feel that US Cellular is the perfect carrier for those busy moms (and dads) is the fact that you are able to control your bill with overage protection, swap your battery if it’s dead and you’re out of town, the auto pay discount… all these rewards are almost like you making a chore chart and getting money for it.

We all know how important Chore Charts are.

I know that having a smart phone is an important thing to have, especially for busy moms. There are a few things I find myself doing almost daily on my smartphone, such as:

- Checking my e-mail
- Conference Calls / Business Meetings
- Taking Photos of my daughter, my husband, important places, places we visit.
- Visiting social media websites
- Blogging
- Checking my website
- Scheduling Appointments
- Looking at the calendar
- Setting the Alarm (the phone is my alarm clock)
- Remembering important dates
- Making a grocery list
- Paying the bills
- Reading the news

Needless to say, I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have a phone and I can’t imagine my life without it. It’s important to make sure you choose the right carrier.

I’m a happy U.S. Cellular customer, and I’m not alone. They have the highest satisfaction rating of any national carrier. If you want to know more about why I chose them, visit their website. or you can like them on Facebook to receive special offers on new phones.
