“My Super Powered Iced Coffee Recipe”

This post is sponsored by fairlife ultra-filtered milk.

You already know what I’m about to say, BUT FIRST COFFEE! That is my motto for starting my day, and sometimes how I end my day too, to be honest.

I’ve recently discovered the most DELICIOUS way to make iced coffee while giving myself a little protein boost. Recently I have embarked on a fitness journey and for the first time I really started to look at the things I am eating, how the make me feel and how things like protein are important when performing exercises designed to build muscle. Additionally, I learned that I was a little low on my protein intake, so I am trying to get it in wherever I can. Once I was introduced to fairlife ultra-filtered whole milk, I knew I had found the solution. Instead of eating boring meals, I am able to add it into my coffee and drink it instead making a “super-powered” coffee! Not only is this easier, but it makes my life better because I can get the things I need in my diet without changing up my routine. I feel like I recover quicker from my workouts thanks to the added protein and we all know calcium is great for your bones, so starting my morning with both coffee and the protein from fairlife ultra-filtered whole milk is taking care of all my needs.

Since fairlife ultra-filtered whole milk boasts a whopping 13 g of protein and 370 mg of calcium with only 6 g of sugar per serving, and it’s lactose-free (what gives most people with milk allergies a problem) and is dairy-based, I feel good about making it one of the main ingredients in my supercharged iced coffee. For comparison, other “milk-like products” like soy milk offer only around 6 grams of protein per serving, with 8 g of sugar. Almond milk is even lower down the list, with around 1 g of protein and a whopping 16 grams of sugar per serving. Wow.

I have an espresso maker, so I know I may have the advantage here, but if you don’t have an espresso maker, cold brew coffee or even drip coffee works just as well. I just like the boost that espresso gives you. Wowee.

I take a mason jar and fill it up with ice. I then brew 2 shots of espresso into my cup. I pour in 1/4 cup of fairlife ultra-filtered milk and 1/4 cup of a creamer of my choice. Sometimes I add more milk, depending on how I am feeling that day. For a real powerful punch, a half coffee, half fairlife ultra-filtered whole milk will do the trick!

The thing I love about using fairlife ultra-filtered milk in my coffee is that they have a unique process of taking family farmed milk and serving it to you with 50% more protein, 30% more calcium, and half the sugar of ordinary milk, making them light-years beyond the competition. Their commitment to making the finest milk will make your body and mind feel good together and this is important for everyone, not just those on a fitness journey. Knowing that their milk is of the finest quality with more protein and calcium and less sugar is right up there in importance with their commitment to family-owned farms. These farms consider the welfare of the animals, and you can drink milk that is better for you while maintaining a commitment to the environment.

fairlife’s farm families promise the highest quality milk, environmentally sustainable farming practices, and superior animal care. fairlife is ultra-filtered for more natural protein and calcium compared to regular milk. Learn more at fairlife.com.
