This one-dish meal is deliciously simple, highlighting a lean protein, a nutrient-rich vegetable, and a few Asian-inspired flavorings. Swap in other quick-cooking vegetables, like broccoli florets or snow peas, if you like. Pork tenderloin is easier to slice for stir frying if you chill it first in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

It’s “Food Friday” and you know what that means? Delicious recipes to make you hungry, of course. While we post recipes all week long, we try to post some extra delicious ones on fridays, just for you!

I don’t know what it is but there is something about football that just makes us want to eat with our hands… you know what I’m talking about and no…. this isn’t no delicate tea cake kind of party either. We are talking about nachos, pizza, hot wings, dips and hefty sandwiches like those from Firehouse Subs (my favorite is the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket!). Drinks are easy and a no-brainer: just keep plenty of beer on ice!

One might think that we have seen it all – last year brought a lot of outrageous baby names.  It would appear this is only the tip of the iceberg though, as 2013 is shaping up to be the year that pushes the boundaries of what was previously considered “normal.”   As parents strive for that distinctive name, social baby naming website, Belly Ballot (more here), is predicting some shocking New Year’s trends.

With the Presidential Inauguration just around the corner ABC Travel Guides for Kids has released their Top 7 US Family Destinations for 2013 and Washington DC is at the top of the list.  The last two picks are a bit of surprise as family travel expert and publisher, Matthew G. Rosenberger has named Niagara County, New York and Hershey, PA as two top picks for 2013.

Words fail me as I try to tell you how absolutely wonderful this trip was. The service, the staff, the experience. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I got the chance to meet with the general manager of Baleen (who was so sweet and cute, she even brought me a key lime margarita as I had the chance to experience SpaTerre and get an amazing Key Lime Mani & Pedi (pure heaven). The staff were all so amazingly wonderful and told me a little about the resort and I have to reiterate that they were just so so friendly which is a huge deal.

The word stroller makes a lot of people cringe. They usually are pretty drab and impossible to set up. Finally stroller styles are becoming as stylish as ever, whether you are out for a jog or shopping with your little one, these strollers are sure to enhance the experience!

Having been through this a few times myself as a father of now 7, I can relate to the frustration parents feel when their child won’t shower.  It’s important to explain to your child why we need to shower, what happens if you don’t, and that doing it regularly on your own is part of growing up.  Many kids want to be seen as grown up and mature so telling them that this is a way for them to demonstrate that they’re not a little kid anymore and are maturing, will also help.
