Pom garlands are becoming ever-so trendy right now, especially for nurseries. It is no secret that our founder, Modern Day Mom Jessica, is pregnant. I am beyond stoked for her as this has been a long journey for her to conceive Baby #2. While browsing Instagram one day, I saw a nursery with pom garland and I thought it was an absolutely adorable piece of decor. And what is even better is it is simple and inexpensive to make.
½ pkg House Foods Premium or Organic Tofu Soft, patted dry with paper towels
¾ cup all purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder
3 1/2 tbsp whole milk
Salt & pepper
½ cup fresh corn, stripped off the cob
3/4 cup red bell peppers (about 3 large peppers)
3 tbsp sliced scallions, or chives
Pinch of chili flakes
Canola or grapeseed oil for frying
We love going to sea aquariums and sea life in general. So, I thought we would try this edible craft, that is super easy and fun! I call it the edible fish aquarium, because we do not need any more real pets at my house.

In an effort to make something different to bring with me on New Years Eve and given that pies are not my specialty, I decided to try out the Cherry Pie cookies. They turned out to be easy to make and extremely delicious.
1 (12 oz.) pkg House Foods Tofu Premium or Organic Extra Firm or Super Firm, drained and pressed
2 whole celery stalks, minced
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp relish (dill)
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
2 Tbsp vegan mayonnaise
Pinch of turmeric
Dash black pepper
Pinch of dill (optional for garnish)
