In the United States right now, a woman has a 1 in 8 chance of developing invasive breast cancer during her life. In New York State about 14,028 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone. The Adelphi New York state wide breast cancer Hotline and support program is there to make sure that no person affected by breast cancer has to face it alone.
My daughter is at that age where she’s really opinionated about what she wears to school. These opinions sometimes throw a wrench in morning routine so we’ve started something new. Every Sunday night, we go through some outfits and pick out 5 for the week. From there, I get the socks, headbands, etc. together. I then place each outfit in this hanging shoe organizer in her closet. She then gets to pick her outfit each day from the organizer and it eliminates any outfit mishaps. This is the second week doing this and it works so good for us.
This printer has been an amazing addition to my home office! There are so many features that I can benefit from. I have several interests and photography is one of them. I love taking photos of my family and printing large scale prints to hang around my home. I’ve always enjoyed having those little reminders of beautiful moments in my life and was so happy to have captured it. With the Canon Pixma iP8720 Printer I can print my own large scale photos at an excellent quality!
Each month until December, Modern Day Moms will be featuring an easy-to-make healthy recipe using ingredients from my “Cantry“. What is a Cantry? Well, I’m sure we all have it. It’s the place you store all your canned goods. We actually have a ‘lazy susan’ cubby in our kitchen which we use as our Cantry. A well-stocked Cantry helps you save time and get a healthy, flavorful and home-cooked meal on the table, more often. It’s homemade made easy.
I’ll be the first to admit that I have forgotten to pack my daughter a lunch. Fortunately her school does offer some pretty good options at lunch time, even though she requested to bring lunch that day. It’s not long after I’ve picked her up that she reminds me that I forgot her lunch and she had to eat something “gross” that she didn’t like instead.
I absolutely love how this project turned out and how easy it was to do. Perhaps you’ve seen these mirrors in stores and online. They’ve become quite trendy and here at a Modern Day Moms we are always trying to show you the latest trends.
Let’s face it, potty training is no easy feat. As I recall, it was one of the hardest “milestones” we had to go through… because when you have a stubborn little child who refuses to go potty where they are supposed to go, you are bound to run into some issues.
1 ½ parts Maker’s Mark Bourbon
½ part Dekuyper Orange Curacao
I couldn’t come up with a name for this Lasagna after creating the recipe. I still have not figured out what to call it so describing it works.. so there ya go! Please take a moment to grab a napkin, you will need to wipe up your drool after this. Ready? If you have a garden, run outside and grab a bit of parsley & basil…. it’s okay… I’ll wait…
Our garage was in disrepair. It was a mess. I had crap thrown everywhere and frankly, I didn’t know what to do with it. I was exhausted and out of options. Thankfully, I had checked out Sauder furniture and had noticed that they carried these storage cabinets that I felt would be perfect for our organization issues in the garage.
