When it comes to dinner, sometimes I just need a quick & easy meal to serve. With that in mind, here are some easy recipes that make that delicious boxed mac even more incredible!
Taco Mac & Cheese
Prepare your mac and cheese as you normally would. Next, brown 1 pound of ground chuck, making sure to drain off any grease. Add in 1 packet of taco seasoning mix. Add in the seasoned beef and one cup of cheddar or Mexican cheese to prepared mac. Pour all of this into a casserole dish and top with any of the following ingredients: crumbled tortilla chips, guacamole, tomato, onion, chopped lettuce, sour cream or cilantro.
Macaroni and Cheese Hot Dog Skillet
3 hot dogs, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup milk
1 box kraft macaroni & cheese (blue box)
2 tablespoons butter
Cook hot dogs in medium skillet on medium heat 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
Stir in water, milk and Macaroni. Bring to boil; cover.
Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 to 7 minutes or until Macaroni is tender.
Add Cheese Sauce Mix and butter; cook and stir until heated through.
and last but not least, one of my favorites:
Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tenders
These Chicken Tenders are not just tasty — they’re seriously fast and easy. Four ingredients and 20 minutes for a main course everyone will love? You can’t beat that. Serve it with “whatever’s in the fridge” salad and roasted potatoes.
8 fresh sage leaves
8 chicken tenders (about 1 1/4 pounds)
8 slices bacon
1/2 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
Place a sage leaf on each chicken tender, then wrap each with a bacon slice. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Add tenders, sage side down, and cook until fat is rendered and bacon is browned, about 6 minutes. Flip and cook until tenders are cooked through, 6 minutes. With tongs, transfer to a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet to drain.
