I have always tried to keep my tires lifespan as long as possible. I mentioned, I'm not a huge fan of tire shopping. It's just one of those things that, if I can lengthen their life, it's less I have to spend and less time shopping. One of the simplest tips that I always mention is just testing your air pressure in your tires. Under-inflation stresses your tire, creates wear and reduces your gas mileage by a considerable amount. By keeping your tires inflated, you save money on tires themselves, AND gas consumption. Reference your car owner’s manual or tire placard attached to the vehicle door edge, door post, glove box door or fuel door for your tires’ correct pressure.
Good luck on your new Cooper Tires. They know as much as I do that you deserve a little reward for just going to get them.
