Hop on Social Media
Aside from emails, most people have at least one social media account. Whether you are on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or something else, you are probably combing through the posts within moments of waking up to see what is trending. Don t do that.
You are not giving your brain enough time to recenter and focus on the day. Rather, you are bombarding yourself with information, and that can actually overwhelm your central nervous system. Remember, you are coming out of a relaxing period of rest. You should ignore your phone until you have woken up completely, gotten something to eat, and are either out the door, heading to work, or you are sitting down in the home office.
