Do you have a picky eater? Maybe the kind of toddler that you have to convince to eat different foods? Or maybe they just don’t like their food touching. Whatever makes them freak out at dinner time, maybe Innobaby can help! I recently got to try out one of Innobaby’s “Din Din Smart” Stainless Divided Platters.
At first, I was thinking “what’s so great about a plate?”
I don’t pay much attention to how my tot reacts to the food I put in front of her, at least I didn’t before. I know that she will mostly eat what I give her, and sometimes she’s picky.
But when I decided to try this tray out with her lunch, I realized right away that it does matter what I put the food on! At least, to her it matters. She was so excited and curious about this tray! First she checked it out, and gave it the good once over with her discerning 17 month old eye. Then she started checking out the food. It was the first time in a while that I haven’t had to deal with her getting bored and whiney half way through a meal. She has this bad habit of eating half her food, then wanting to go play, and then wanting to finish eating. I’m sure I’m not the only one with a tot like that. In fact, I’m sure it’s more common, than not.
But really, it gets tiring! Sometimes I feel like one meal gets drug out for an hour or more. Not this meal though. Not with the Innobaby tray. She liked the tray so much she just kept on eating and scooting it around. Awesome!
There’s more to this tray than good looks. See the divided compartments? There’s conveniently 5 of them. And they are a great portion size for the different food groups! If you are obsessed with trying to get all the food groups in daily, like I am, then this will really help you. Use the larger compartments for things like lean proteins and veggies or grains. And the smaller for fruits, more veggies, dairy and starches. Great way to visualize a balanced meal!
So I did two fruits, a veggie and the sandwich counted as the grain and protein this time. Her dairy was milk, and that’s that! I love it. Can you believe she sat still and ate just about all of that? One by one, she emptied each little compartment.
Other important details about the tray:
Nontoxic
Made with highest quality food grade stainless steel
Stain resistant
Dishwasher safe
No worries of BPA, Phthalate, PVC or Lead
If you are looking for a way to deal with a picky eater, this might help! Be sure to check out Innobaby’s website. They make a lot more than just this tray! There’s several different food storage containers, bottles, and more. You can also find them on facebook, and twitter.
