10 Best Seasonal Candles & Scents

Welcome to Jessica’s Top Thursday. Each week, I will feature a new Top Trend, Top 10, Top List, etc. I will mention some of our favorite items, tips, ideas, recipes and more. Enjoy! To see my previous Top Thursday posts, click here.

This week’s Top Thursday is all about seasons. Seasonal Candles, that is.

1. Fireside by Target Home

Cedarwood, clove, ylang ylang, sandalwood… This candle is my top pick.

This is my favorite candle. You can actually find this candle at Target for $5.99 (for a large jar!) You won’t find a candle like this for that price often. The brand is called Home which is one of Target’s brands. They do not sell it online, but you can click here to see if they have it at your local store: http://www.target.com/p/Home-Scents-Fireside-15-oz-Jar-Candle/-/A-13685537

If you love the smell of fire & wood but do not have a fireplace, this candle is perfect for you. Reminds me of crisp fall nights around a campfire. It’s simply amazing and that is why it landed at #1.

If you do not have this candle locally, you can always go to Bath & Body and pick up their version of Fireside. It comes in at a close second.

2. Acorn & Fig by Slatkin & Co

A medley of fresh apricot, juicy pear and fig blended with fresh cut Birchwood and creamy sandalwood.
Highly fragranced candle exclusively developed and tested by their team of Home Fragrance experts, including the world’s best master perfumers. Made using the highest concentration of fragrance oils, an exclusive blend of vegetable wax and lead-free wicks for optimal performance.

Three-wick candle burns approximately 40 – 65 hours

Purchase: From Bath & Body Works http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11765948&cp=11893243.11973992.11976371

4oz is on sale right now for $5 (regularly $9.50): http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11888477

3. Kitchen Spice by Slatkin & Co

This is one of my favorite candles… I can’t find this candle on the actual website, which leads me to believe they may be discontinuing it. You can find it in certain Bath & Body stores… However, I did find the Kitchen Spice Candle on Amazon!

4. Orange Cinnamon Clove Simmer

I posted about this a little while ago. This is probably one of the cheapest ways to make your house smell good. It’s very easy and will leave your whole house smelling wonderful.

5. Marshmallow Fireside by Slatkin & Co

So, you like the smell of fire but you also like a little sweetness…. this candle is perfect for you. A marriage of firewood & marshmallows. WOW.

You can purchase this candle at Bath & Body online or in store.

6. Cinnamon & Clove Buds by Slatkin & Co

This candle is an intense blend of cinnamon, sweet clove buds and nutmeg. Great for the kitchen!

You can view it online here: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11726352

7. Creme Brul e by Paula Deen

Paula Deen has a collection of candles at Walmart, believe it or not. The Creme Brul e is my absolute favorite scent and it reminds me of fall. The candles even have recipes on the back for that specific scent!

You can purchase the candle online here: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Paula-Deen-Studio-Jar-Candle-Creme-Brulee/16795254. Look at your local walmart for the Creme Brulee Candle!

8. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie by Slatkin & Co

It’s your lucky day. This candle is actually on sale for HALF OFF. Fresh baked oatmeal blended with sweet raisins, caramelized brown sugar and vanilla extract.

You can purchase it online here: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11726368&cp=4090259.4090324.4090329.4432046.4147333

9. Sleigh Ride by Slatkin & Co *new!*

Inspired by the fresh winter air on a morning sleigh ride – frosted juniper, green noble fir and rosemary are blended perfectly in this new holiday favorite.

This candle is now available. You can view it online here: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12076075&cp=4090259.4090324.4090329.4432046.4147333

10. Cranberry Pear Bellini

A bright blend of sparkling cranberry and juicy nectarine with sweet pear nectar and luscious blackcurrant. Can it get any better?

You can purchase it and view it online here: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12076068&cp=4090259.4090324.4090329.4432046.4147333

You already have all my favorites! I love fall because of the scents – I’ve been making simmers and burning candles for weeks even though it has been unseasonably (80+ degrees!) here in Illinois – because it is fall, dang it! I also found a really cool idea for using a pumpkin as an incense burner at http://www.marthastewart.com/272970/pumpkin-pie-potpourri. I’ll be trying it soon!
