Did you know that a product can have less than 1% natural ingredients and still advertise itself as “Natural”?
Coloring, fragrance, texture and many other selling points of a product are all reasons why companies include synthetic often petroleum based ingredients. We’re certainly given an ingredients list but how many of us really understand or can pronounce half of what is listed? On average there are about 126 unique ingredients applied to the skin on a DAILY basis and even more astounding is that products are not required to undergo any pre-market safety testing!
If you really think about it, skin is our largest organ and what we put on is absorbed into the body. I knew all of this but it wasn’t until I had my son that I really started to care. Once he was born I began the search for truly natural products that I could feel confident using and after lots of label reading and asking around I discovered Nature’s Baby Organics.
With scents like Mandarin Coconut, Vanilla Tangerine and Lavender Chamomile (to name just a few) i immediately fell in love with this line of all natural botanical baby products. Most (if not all) products are 100% vegan, Paraben (preservative), SLS (surfactant/dirt remover), Propylene Glycol (solvent) Free & Hypoallergenic. From shampoo, body wash, conditioner, face and body moisturizer, diaper ointment, powder, aromatherapy and body oils this line of products will meet all of your needs! They’ve even created a “Ac-hoo” chest rub for when your little one comes down with the sniffles!
Next time you’re out you should definitely grab some of the Mandarin Coconut Body oil and treat your wee ones (and yourself) to a nice massage! This stuff is so delicious I’ve been tempted to taste it!
Want to learn more? Head over to the Nature’s Baby Organics website for ingredient info, company history, informative links and even a guide to child/infant rashes! Here’s a cheesy tutorial that runs down the basics of infant massage:
