The High Line
Teenagers are sure to be impressed with a walk along New York’s coolest public park. The High Line is a recently renovated elevated railway that has been transformed into a mile and a half of landscaped gardens, water features, arts and craft stalls, and food vendors. Offering a new perspective on the Lower West Side, the High Line is a unique place for a family stroll.

American Museum of Natural History
The American Museum of Natural History is a mecca for curious kids. With exhibits chronicling everything from anthropology, astronomy, botany, and paleontology, there are hours of fascinating specimens to discover. The massive dinosaur fossils and incredible planetarium are favorites are perennial favorites with the kids, and can’t be missed.
Empire State Building
The world’s most iconic skyscraper has lost none of its charm since it was built over 80 years ago. Whether gazing up at it from the street, taking in the views from the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Centre, or from One World Trade Centre, the Art Deco building is sure to feature prominently in your holiday snaps. The building unsurprisingly offers some of the best views in the city, so make sure you book tickets to go up it while you are there. Try to make the trip early in the day, as it can get very busy!

Central Park offer a world of fun activities for the family. Taking up a huge 800 acres of central Manhattan, it is the most visited city park in the US and easily the most famous. Containing a zoo, a boating lake, a reservoir, a castle, an ice rink, and much more, you’re never short of things to do in Central Park.
The Bronx Zoo
This world famous zoo is the largest metropolitan zoo in the country and was originally founded in 1899. As popular now as ever, the zoo remains one of the premier family-friendly destination in the country. As it covers over 250 acres you might need more than one trip to see it all, but to help you get around, the zoo even has its own monorail! Take the kids to Tiger Mountain, or let them discover the World of Birds and the World of Reptiles. A visit to the zoo needn’t break the bank either as there are lots of free exhibits.
