New Mom Must-Have: The Traveling Nursery

It seems like baby’s come with a lot of stuff. Blankets, wraps, carriers, diapers, clothes and more gadgets than you can keep track of. When I was trying to organize my daughter’s room before she came, I wound up with a lot of little extras and no where to put them! Not to mention, I decided to cloth diaper her, and I needed somewhere to put all those diapers.

Here was my solution, and I still love it after 15 months!

The Munchkin Care Cart. Under 20 bucks! You can’t beat a baby accessory that doesn’t cost a fortune, right?

What I love about it:

It’s on wheels! I love that I can take it from room to room. That was a life saver when my daughter was newborn. I kept fresh clothes, diapers, wipes, socks, you name it. All ready for action, wherever I went in the house.

It holds a ton of stuff. I am actually surprised at how much I keep in mine. I’ll break it down in a sec, but I’ll say it now. I don’t even have a dresser in my daughter’s room. It holds that much.

It doesn’t cost a fortune. Let’s face it. Baby furniture costs a ton. Here’s something that you will get a lot of use out of, and doesn’t require a payment plan or deposit.

It’s light weight. Even if you don’t use the casters, you can easily move it around if you want to. That’s also a good feature because, when your little one gets old enough to be curious, it won’t hurt them if it falls over. Hey, stuff happens fast. Best to have furniture that won’t cause injuries.

It’s actually really stable! It doesn’t look it, but it is. I mentioned that it won’t hurt your little if they tip it over onto themselves. But, in the year that I have had mine, my daughter hasn’t managed to knock it over yet! I don’t really let her mess with it much, but she’s fast. She can pull everything out of it in the time it takes me to put stuff in her closet.

Here’s mine, and what I keep in it.

Top left bin: 24 prefold diapers, 3 fitted diapers, and 6 diaper covers

Top right bin: Baby powder, wipes, Tylenol, baby powder, a little cup with grooming items like combs and fingernail clippers, some hair bows, rash cream and some other things I am probably forgetting.

Middle left bin: 15 cloth diapers (some are in the wash and not pictured. It’s usually full. I stack them like the orange one is on top)

Middle right bin: 7 more diapers, and you can’t see it but there’s undies in there too. We are working on potty training.

Bottom left bin: Wet bags, changing pads, a Moby wrap, sun hats (not pictured: shoes)

Bottom right: Socks, leg warmers, and lots of bibs.

See? That’s a lot of stuff all in one easy to get to place. This little guy helps me to stay organized and keep the clutter down. I highly recommend this cart to people who are looking for storage solutions for small spaces.

    Where did you buy this??

Walmart, there is a link (Munchkin Care Cart) under the first picture that will take you directly to the page to order one. I’m ordering one right now!

I linked to Walmart, but I actually bought mine at Target! It was a few more bucks there, but still under 25.

That’s awesome both stores carry it, I don’t have a Target in my town but I do have a Walmart so it’s easier for me to order online and have it sent there for free.

I can’t believe this is under $20 and it would fit in my boys closet really well! Can totally double as toy storage when all those random baby things are no longer needed. Definitely having one of these sent to the Walmart in town.

I can’t believe the price either! I may have to buy one for my closet as well. ha! :)

I was thinking the same thing, we can never have enough storage for underoos, socks, bathing suits, jammies, and anything else that makes its way into “my” closet. About 1/3 of my hanging space is taken up with my boys winter jackets and sweatshirts, glad it’s a walk-in!

This would be GREAT for toys and other random stuff. Putting it in the closet is perfect. You don’t even have to put the casters on it if you don’t want to!

Exactly! I love things that are multi-purpose, even though it’s “only” $20 we should use things as long as they can serve a purpose and be functional.
