This smoothie recipe is delicious and will give you the “boost” that you need! My preschooler loves to help me make smoothies and this one was no exception.
The emergen-c in this smoothie gives it a tangy boost of vitamin c. If you are going to make two batches of this smoothie recipe, I would say make 1 using the Adult version of Emergen-c and then another using the Emergen-c Kidz. Emergen-c Kidz is specially designed to help kids from head to toe with 24 vitamins and nutrients. There are powerful antioxidants and nutrients like vitamin c, beta carotene, vitamin e, zinc and iron. Also included is calcium, vitamin d and phosphorus.
Emergen-C Kidz Complete Multi-Vitamin & Multi-Mineral Supplements are for children ages 2 and older. Directions for use are as follows:
Ages 2 & 3: half a packet daily
Ages 4 & up: one packet dailyAll other Emergen-C drink mix products are for adults 15 years of age and older.
For this version, I am using Emergen-c Kidz.
Strawberry Smoothie with Vitamin C Boost
INGREDIENTS:
1 pint fresh strawberries
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup orange juice
6 ounces organic vanilla yogurt (I used stonyfield)
4 ice cubes
1 Packet of Emergen-c Kidz (orange pineapple explosion flavor)PREPARATION:
Trim the strawberries, discarding the stems and rinse blueberries & strawberries quickly until running cold water. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until a thick smoothie forms.
If you make this, let us know what you think! You of course, can omit the Emergen-c… but do your body some good and give it that vitamin c boost! :)
