Staying Connected: A Day In The Life

“Staying Connected: A Day In The Life”

I try to live a wonderful life full of fun, friends and family. I’d like to think that I’ve learned recently to enjoy new things often and take time out for myself and those close to me.

For me, every single day is different. I always have so many different things going on that no two days are alike. One thing is the same and that’s the fact that I always have my little sidekick with me when she’s not in school. Another thing that I can guarantee, I will always have my phone with me at all times. It’s a habit and also, it’s a way that I stay connected.

With such a hectic busy schedule, it’s important for me to figure out how to stay in touch.

On any given day, I wake up, get ready for the day, eat breakfast and head down to the beach:

I also have special days each month where I get to do fun things such as…

Create a cocktail that I think will be good for our Cocktail series. I created and photographed this cocktail on my trip to Louisiana recently. The cocktail includes strawberries, lemon, banana liqueur, simple syrup, club soda, splash of buffalo Tabasco & rum.

Attended my first crawfish boil in Louisiana:

Take time to make my Oma’s famous strawberry freezer jam that keeps foreveeeer in the freezer:

Head down to the beach to collect shells for a craft project:

Take a walk through a beautiful nature preserve with my family:

Create a recipe (Spicy Tabasco Chili):

In between all of these things, I make time to talk with family who lives in other states. I’m usually on my phone text messaging or using Skype Mobile (life saver). Another new thing I’ve tried and love is the Facebook messaging (or messenger) app.

I make sure I take time to connect and communicate with my family and friends who are unable to be near us.

Skype enriches connections by enabling more intimate and personal communication. How do you stay connected in your everyday routine? Read more about the Premium Skype features here: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/features/.

Tango or Skype and, Walgreens. We have a 3 month old and our closest family is 12 hours away but thanks to Tango she can see her Grandmothers anytime :D Walgreens is a big help too. I can just upload and send the newest photoes of her stright to their local store to be picked up, that way her great-grandpa can see her grow too.
