DIY Frosted, Snowy Pillar Candleholder Centerpiece

Are you ready for the holidays? I know I am! I have been decorating for the past few days here and there when I came up with the idea for this easy and quick decorative piece. You can use this as a centerpiece on your dining table or on a side table anywhere in your home.

All you need is:

  • love (sorry…had to!)
  • 3 pillar candleholders from Dollar Tree
  • garland (Dollar Tree)
  • Modge Podge (small bottle at Dollar Tree)
  • Epsom Salt ($.97 for a carton at Walmart – they might have it at Dollar Tree, but I didn’t check since I already had some)
  • letter stickers (Hobby Lobby)

The letter stickers were the most expensive item, but I used the 40% off coupon, which made them just a few bucks. Everything together costs around $10, unless you need to buy candles, but you can get those at Dollar Tree as well and pay just $3 more. No need for super fancy since these are seasonal.

First, clean your glass then adhere your stickers. I stuck mine on a little higher than the middle since there is garland around the bottom part.

Then brush on a light coat of Modge Podge around the entire surface, including over top of your letter. The Modge Podge eventually dries clear…this stuff is amazing for these kinds of crafts.

Once it’s covered, roll it in the Epsom salt and sprinkle the areas that didn’t pick up.

Carefully peel off your sticker to reveal the bare space. Allow to dry for at least 30 minutes.

Weave your garland in and out around the bottoms of the candleholders. Add your candles and you are all done!
