Fancy-free Date Night Ideas at Home

“Fancy-free Date Night Ideas at Home”

Date night doesn’t have to be fancy. Once you start having children, you might understand this a little bit better. While date night is fun and exciting, it might also involve finding a babysitter, making plans when the babysitter is available, and going around someone else’s schedule. That is never fun.

Date night is important, especially when it hasn’t happened in a while and it doesn’t have to be fancy. Here are some ideas for enjoying date night at home:

1. Dinner

There’s nothing quite like a home-cooked meal, unless of course you aren’t a very good cook but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you are. Cooking a meal both you and your spouse love is a great way to enjoy a relaxing date night in. Bonus points if you order take out, no dishes, no cooking, just relaxing.

2. Drinks

It’s okay. Bust out the wine or your favorite beer. Date night is all about relaxing and having fun.

3. Television Shows & Movies

Need something new to do on your Date Night? Why not watch Sex Box with your significant other while enjoying a great home-cooked meal, popcorn, wine, etc.

I’m intrigued by it, to be honest. Sex Box is a groundbreaking, unprecedented and life-changing way for couples in crisis to heal their sexual and emotional issues. Each week three couples from a wide variety of backgrounds bring their pressing concerns to our expert therapists with hopes of repairing their troubled relationships.

The experts – Dr. Chris Donaghue, Sexologist and Clinical Psychotherapist; Dr. Fran Walfish, Relationship Psychotherapist and Dr. Yvonne Capehart, Pastor and Couples Counselor – offer frank advice that is designed to change lives. The theory behind the Sex Box is based on a revolutionary, scientifically proven concept: In the first 15 minutes after intimacy, the body is flooded with oxytocin and endorphins enabling people to really open up and reveal the root of their problems.

Tune into WE tv’s smash hit extreme couple’s therapy show, Sex Box every Friday at 10/9c

4. Talking (sans mobile devices)

It’s important to show your spouse attention and not be distracted by mobile devices and everything else going on, especially when you are having a date night together. Put your phone away and enjoy some time with your love.

5. Plan a Vacation Together (in the future)

Going on a vacation is exciting and sometimes, all it takes is a little planning. Maybe there is a specific place you both want to go? When do you want to go? Plan it out! It’ll be fun.
