When I think of chocolate, the old standard comes to mind: a delicious HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar. The thing I like about this classic bar is that I know what to expect every time. I should after all, their process hasn’t changed much in over 100 years. When it comes to chocolate you use in all your recipes, you really want something with simple ingredients that you can pronounce, correct? HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate is made with familiar ingredients, like cocoa and sugar, and without artificial flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.
What really makes HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate special is the farm fresh milk. Every day, local dairy farms deliver tens of thousands of gallons of farm fresh milk to their factory in Hershey, Pennsylvania, that they use in their HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate.
There’s no denying that HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate is a family favorite for us and I’m sure many other households as well.
When I think about it, one of my favorite ways to eat a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar is in a S’Mores dessert.
Packed inside S’Mores or eaten alone, the farm fresh milk in HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate really goes from farm to chocolate bar.
I think S’Mores are probably one of my favorite treats. The feeling of roasting the marshmallows, breaking the HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate bar into the perfect rectangle, the whole process of putting S’Mores together is so much fun. It brings back so many memories and I love making them any chance I get!
Hershey is one of the few large-scale chocolate makers in the U.S. to use farm fresh milk in its HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate and you really can tell a difference. Think about it: growing up, when you made S’Mores, what kind of chocolate bar did you grab? I know what you are thinking and I’m thinking the same thing. It has always been a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar. There’s no denying that it’s a favorite and one of the brands we prefer when it comes to chocolate.
The thing that makes a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar taste so good, and brings back the feelings of my childhood, is their use of farm fresh milk. More than 17,000 cows are milked each day to supply the fresh milk for HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate. Here’s a little fact, most of the cows are Holstein cows, the ones known for their distinctive black and white markings. In fact, the proximity to a supply of fresh milk is why Milton Hershey decided to put his factory there back in 1905. Check out this video for an inside look at the farm fresh milk!
