This is my personal kanken backpack. It’s the only bag I use now. You see, it’s hard to explain but I’ll try my best.
Originally designed for Swedish school children in 1978, the Kånken has become the most well-loved and iconic backpack for everyone. I didn’t realize it had such a following until I turned to Pinterest to decide on what color I wanted to buy myself. It was then that I realized they were an actual thing. Like, collectors items. They come in like 30 colors and they are waterproof and lightweight. It almost doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all.
I happened upon them by chance and that’s how it all started. I got rid of every bag and purse I have and strictly use this now. It’s so convenient. I bought a rose pink and two blush pink bags. More on that in a minute.
The inside has so much room. Today I had a baby bag of toiletries, a makeup bag, diapers, diaper wipes (the big pack), a wallet, keys, a small trinket bag, a water bottle, a sippy cup, lotion, 500 chap sticks and I still had room.
So back to buying two blush pink bags… I decided to list one of them in my etsy shop. I made it look all magical and everything. See below.
Before you freak out, the price of the kankens alone are $80. You might think that is insane but please ask someone who has a fjallraven kanken backpack what they think of theirs. They last forever, virtually indestructible and the side pockets fit bottles, dude.
