October 16 is World Food Day, which is not a day devoted to exploring a rainbow of culinary delicacies from around the globe. Rather it’s a day to reflect on a serious issue: worldwide hunger. There is more than enough food in the world so that no one ever needs to go hungry; yet 1/3 of the food produced every year is lost or wasted.
