Have you seen these adorable “Mini Me Papers” that are flying off the press (err sewing machine) created by mamapreneur Alison James of7x7xMommy? Inspired by her very own mini me, Alison has done what all of us mommies dream of; created a product born out of necessity and sucessfully launched her very own businesss.
Mini Me Papers were born one morning while Alison and her husband were trying to read the newspaper. You know where this is headed…their adorable daughter decided that the crinkly sounds, colorful comics and reading the same thing as mommy and daddy was much more exciting than her own stack of books. After many ripped pages, ink smudges and missing sports sections Alison decided to create a baby friendly version of a newspaper.
So how did she do it?
Alison has taken recycled newspapers, located the “fun stuff” (anything with color and/or pictures of babies), loaded them with the crinkle sound babies love, sewn them shut with soft seam binding (which also smoothes out the corners), and added loads of taggies.
The result? A creative, fun “mini me paper” that babies are free to “love on”.
After repeatedly cleaning up the mess my son Harper makes of our newspapers and magazines I knew I had to get my hands on one of these.

Harper and I both love our Mini Me Paper and Mini Me Magazine! The thoughtful and bright images (Alison can custom theme your paper too) keep my little one interested and engaged and he loves flipping through the different pages. Mini Me Papers are held together by babies favorite teething rings and with a whole gum line of bumps and swells my little man takes full advantage of this special feature. Did I mention the taggies that stick out around the borders of the paper? We all know how much our little ones love these bright colors and silky texture…nice touch Ali!
If like me you’re tired of sharing your newspapers and magazines and of cleaning up the mess that follows you need to check out Mini Me Papers.
