We were recently invited to be on the mom panel for Similac at a Mom’s Garden Party Luncheon in NYC! It was a lot of fun. I had the most amazing time, and I was honored to be picked out specifically for this panel.
Packing was the fun part since I would only be in NYC for one night. This was probably the shortest (yet busiest) trip I’ve ever experienced.
I brought along Modern Day Moms editor and bestie, Wendy. She made traveling much easier, plus she was there to offer moral support and take photographs of the event.
We arrived in NYC at 10am, so we pretty much had the afternoon to walk around and explore. We checked in at The Shoreham hotel and headed up to the penthouse suite to take in NYC in all its glory. The adorable outdoor balcony was the perfect way to soak up the sun.
After we set our bags down, we walked around for a bit and grabbed some delicious juice.
We made our way to Brooklyn because Juliana’s was calling our name.
After Juliana’s, we headed down the street to check out Brooklyn Bridge Park and view the city. We took a ferry down to Wall Street and decided to walk -quite a ways- up to SoHo.
We needed a cupcake, after all.
And of course, after the cupcake, we needed to try the cereal milk ice cream from Momofuku Milk Bar.
After exploring for a bit more, we decided to head back to our hotel because we had a busy day ahead of us. That next morning, we made our way over to Venue57, where the event was going to be held. We walked in around 9:40 and met up with everyone. All of the other panelists were so sweet and kind. I was excited to meet everyone and talk with other moms.
One by one, they all piled in and there was a great turnout. I loved meeting everyone!
I had a lot of fun at this event and getting a chance to share a small part of my life with other moms and hearing what they have to say.
