We’ve talked about pediped shoes before. We love them! Pediped shoes are durable, they are made with your little one’s development in mind, and they are cute to boot! There’s a style for just about everyone. And pediped shoes just got better. They revamped the soles of their Originals line, and now they have this awesome texture that will help prevent slips and falls. Originals still have all the great features you’ve come to love, but now have some new improvements. Here’s some info from pediped about why Originals are the next best thing to bare feet:
When children learn to walk, they tend to shuffle, so it is important for their feet to feel the floor. Doctors recommend shoes with soft leather soles because they most closely mimic barefoot walking and do not force children to change their natural stride.
Originals feature a roomy toebox so feet can move. This way, little feet can grow properly and develop strength, musculature, and the grasping action of the toes.
Originals closely resemble the natural shape of the foot and are so comfortable children do not want to take them off!
Velcro Fasteners make the shoes easy to put on and provide optimal fit and adjustability.
The Spring/Summer 2012 Originals collection will be priced at $33, and is available for children 0-24 months in age.
Sure enough, I got my Originals, and they do have a new leather sole with texture!
And my daughter? She loves them. Heads up moms, if you are tired of fussing with shoes laces and toddlers (two things that don’t exactly mix) you’re going to love the originals. At 22 months old, my daughter can pretty much get these on her own feet. One less thing to worry about when you’re trying to head out the door!
I am loving this revamped sole because now, even on wet grass or other slippery surfaces, there’s less chance for slipping. Here’s a short video of my daughter running up and down some wooden stairs. She usually isn’t this confident on those stairs, so she must have felt secure in her new pediped shoes.

13 years agoWe LOVE Pediped shoes! So excited about the new soles. My little guy loves to wear his shoes but slips sometimes in them. I am glad to see they are making the soles with the new design to help the little ones. We currently have the Jordyn, Ace and Charlie… waiting on our new Hayden to arrive! I’m ready for Srping/SUmmer season so I can get him the Harveys again! I love them!! He had them last year and they are too cute!
