Welcome to Paradise, nestled in the southern most foothills of the Appalachian mountains.

Located an hour outside of Atlanta, The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens blends the luxuries of an upscale resort with the simple touches of Mother Nature. Designed in tandem with the Callaway Gardens mission of connecting man with nature, guests enjoy a rustic Ralph Lauren experience; the best in Southern Hospitality.

Open since 1952, Callaway Gardens is the centerpiece of 13,000 acres nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachians. Founder Cason Jewell Callaway longed for a place where man and nature could abide together for the good of both, and now more than half a century later, his retreat continues to offer solace, inspiration and discovery for all who come here.

Celebrating the holiday season, The Lodge and Spa provides a magical getaway by combining resort traditions with the Fantasy in Lights festival — the Southeast’s largest light display offering more than 8 million lights along five miles of wooded scenery. This runs November 18 through December 30, 2011.

It was absolutely spectacular.

The Christmas Card Concierge at The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens allows a relaxing, guilt-free vacation by providing:
• Hand-written Christmas Card to friends and family — guests provide a list and the Christmas Card Concierge takes care of the details

It is so nice to find such a peaceful place, like The Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens for the entire family. It is 13,000 acres of serene forest, gardens of every kind, Robin Lake, perfect any time of year. So quiet it seemed we were the only ones there until we went to the “Bird of Prey Encounter” packed with young families.

The Lodge itself is a luxury, “High End Rustic” with all the bells & whistles.

The Piedmont located on the resort, offers a seafood buffet on Friday evening and for dinner on Saturday, ‘Farm to Fork’ was an awesome experience, one that I will never forget. My husband said that he has eaten in restaurants from Russia to the Philippines, across the United States and through out Europe and he has not eaten at a restaurant finer than the Piedmont. That’s saying quite a bit.

Spa Prunifolia is a magical spa located right on the resort. It visits all 5 senses and is perfection on every level. Thank you Kaylyn for making me feel a perfect calm and allowing me an enjoyable visit.

The downtown shops in Pine Mountain were filled with treasures for all ages. Sweet Home Antiques was as fine as any on planet earth.

If you are looking for a rustic vacation with the mountain-esque feel… you don’t want to miss the opportunity of visiting the Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens in Georgia.
