My son enjoys toys that respond to him and are interactive. I guess it makes him feel powerful being in control of something and giving it silly commands.
When we received the WowWee Elektrokidz toys, he was enchanted. He loved that their hair danced to music and would respond even when he spoke. He often plays music when he cleans his room so that he feels like he has company and a little bit of entertainment while he does so.
The batteries seem to last forever, so that is a bonus as we parents know what a hassle that can be! I like them because they remind me of the 80s style: whacky hair colors and funky sunglasses.
