Restoring Old Dingy White Shower Curtains

“Restoring Old Dingy White Shower Curtains”

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Clorox. All opinions are 100% mine.

The shower curtains in my bathroom and the downstairs bathroom are white. I did this on purpose. I love nothing more than taking the shower curtains when they are ready to be washed and throwing them in the washing machine with some bleach and seeing how sparkling white they come out when they are done.

When it came time to wash my curtains, I went to Target and found the Clorox MyUltimateCare Bleach. Word on the street is this bleach is only available at Target. This bleach offers all that amazing cleaning and whitening power you expect, only with a pleasant scent and a thicker, no-splash formula. It’s so gentle, you can even pour it directly onto fabrics.

One thing I noticed, the smell was not overpowering. Like other brands I’ve used before, I didn’t have to open up the garage door and let the air in as I was washing. The fumes were tame and the smell did not bother me when I used this MyUltimateCare Bleach. There are just certain stains that need a little bleaching power. I hate to admit it, but sometimes our whites do not end up white after a few washes. They turn blue, they turn gross… and they definitely aren’t white when we are done with them. Thankfully, this bleach is my new go-to. I’ve started separating the whites and enjoying it, knowing that once I was done washing them, they would be as good as new.

Let me show you just how magical this Clorox MyUltimateCare Bleach is.

Here are the shower curtains before. Naturally, they started turning colors and they were ready for a deep-cleaning.

I place them in my fancy washing machine and let the bleach do its magic. I poured in the recommended measurement and I put it on the soak cycle so I could make sure the bleach really had a chance to do its job.

I also opted for an extra rinse just to make sure the bleach was fully rinsed off.

End result.

Not only do they look brand new and sparkling, but they smell good too! Surprisingly enough, they also don’t smell like bleach! SOLD!
