Spending Valentine's Day In

“Spending Valentine’s Day In”

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hunt’s® tomatoes and Alexia® Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

There’s no better romantic gift than creating a home-cooked meal for your loved-one. This Valentine’s Day, ditch stress and crowds and create home-cooked restaurant-like experience. From recipe inspiration to tools that make it fast and fun to cook at home, Hunt’s® tomatoes and Alexia® Foods are making it easier than ever to break the tradition of eating out for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.

So… let me ask, are you ready? Me neither. This year, eliminate the stress of finding a dinner reservation and a packed restaurant by having a quiet, romantic dinner at home.

Valentine’s day is all about spending time with the one you love. Dinner doesn’t have to be fancy and you don’t have to go crazy on plans. Sometimes it’s nice to just relax, have a nice evening in, cook up some sloppy joes and enjoy! Afterwards, watch your favorite shows on Netflix and have a blast.

You can feel good about using Hunt’s® tomatoes, as they’re are grown in sunny California and canned within hours of being picked. Also, did I mention Alexia® Foods Smart Classics potatoes are 98% fat free/0 grams of trans fats/100 calories per serving? A guilt-free guilty pleasure, indeed!

My husband makes the best Sloppy Joes. Here’s the trick… peppers, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. These ingredients are added to the ground beef mixture. He also makes his own sauce. I can’t tell you his secret but I do love using any sloppy joe mix. The good thing about sloppy joes is… you don’t really need to have an exact recipe. You can play with it until it’s to your liking.
