Tech Talk: The Portable North Pole

“Tech Talk: The Portable North Pole”

Christmas! It’s practically here!

Like countless families, every year we anxiously await Santa. We make advent calendar angels to count down the days, we wait for the sound of jingle bells, and we always remember to leave out milk and cookies! But there’s really nothing like getting a personalized video from Saint Nick himself! That’s why we love Portable North Pole (PNP).

So how does it work?

By inputting some vital stats (name, age, location), as well as information about achievements over the year – like how good they’ve been about eating vegetables and not fighting with their siblings – Santa is able to create a personalized video just for your child. Santa can even assure them that the special gift they asked for will be under the tree… as long as they keep up the good work!

With personal photos, its easy to make your kid absolutely certain that the magic of Christmas is real. The videos are FREE to make too, so there’s no reason to pass this adorable site up! Unless, of course, your kid gets utterly creeped out by strange old men saying their name… which is exactly what happened to my 3 year old. She’s an odd one who also PUNCHED a mall Santa this year.

What else does the PNP offer?

The PNP also has a mobile app for iPhone/iPad and Android, so maybe Santa might even be the texting type? In addition to videos, the PNP store sells “bona fide” Santa letters, puzzles, and books for added Christmas joy.

You can visit the Portable North Pole at the website, YouTube and on Facebook. You can follow them on Twitter as well!
