2 slices sourdough bread
2 butter lettuce leaves
1 Slice of tomato
2 pads of butter
I large slice of tofu about 1/2in. thick
Soy sauce, 3tbsp
Smoked paprika 1tbsp
Olive oil spray.
Combine the soy sauce, paprika and syrup in a bowl. Marinate the tofu slice thoroughly for 10 minutes flipping periodically to marinate evenly. Best if tofu was frozen before hand and then thawed out. This changes the texture to absorb more of the flavoring.
After marinating, spray your frying pan with olive oil spray and add the tofu over medium heat. Cook until both sides are light brown.
Add the two pads of butter to the pan to toast the outside of your bread slices. Using butter to toast the bread is paramount. Remove the bread and generously slather the hidden valley country herb ranch sandwich spread to the inside of the bread. Place tofu on top then the tomato and lettuce. Garnish with a pickle slice.
Enjoy your healthier take on a feel good classic!
