Tommee Tippee is a trusted brand in my house. I absolutely love everything they make. They have a wide range of products for bottle fed babies, all the way up to toddlers refining their self feeding skills. What I love about Tommee Tippee is their focus on making things that are safe and free of BPA & Phthalates. Most of their food storage containers are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe too! We’ve got lots of Tommee Tippee around our house, and now they have added something new to their line. Breast Pumps!
I was so excited to hear about the new addition to the Tommee Tippee line up. I don’t breast feed anymore, but you can bet if I did (and when I need to again) this would be at the top of my list of must haves. I have no doubt in my mind that this breast pump will work amazing. I have used other breast pumps, and they were ok. But, I always felt like I was dragging around an ugly hunk of junk when I went to work with it. And there was always something I felt my pump was missing. But, the Closer To Nature feeding system is sleek in design and convenient to boot!
Tommee Tippee wasn’t messing around when they decided to add a breast pump. They took the time to ask moms what they wanted from a pump, and listened. The cup is made of soft silicone, instead of plastic. I always hated that about my pump. The plastic was uncomfortable, and never really formed to my shape. Silicone is a more pliable option, which might also make for better expressing results.
Pictured above are the protection pods. I love this storage solution!
The pump control is small, unlike other bulkier pumps. This thing looks like it could fit in your purse! When pumping, you can pump straight into a “protection pod” or right into a closer to nature bottle. What’s a “protection pod” you ask? That would the the storage containers that Tommee Tippee made to go with your pump. You can express straight to the container, pop a lid on it, and take it straight to the freezer. No plastic baggies to deal with or throw away! Yay! You know me and my crazy desire to stop throwing away plastics. They even made a holder for your pods to keep them upright in the freezer or fridge. Those pods can be dropped right into a closer to nature bottle too. So you can just take one bottle, and your pods to your day care provider and be done with it. I love the convenience!
Here’s what you get when you buy an electric breast pump from Tommee Tippee:
1 single breast pump
1 bottle stand
2 spare valves
1 5oz feeding bottle with slow flow nipple and protection lid
2 Protection Pods for storing expressed milk
6 breast pads
1 sterile storage box that doubles as a carrying case
All that retails for $150. Not too bad, if you ask me. They have lots of accessories you can shop for to go along with your pump, too. I think overall, this is a great value and will be a great pump. Thanks for bringing us such great products Tommee Tippee! I hope you plan on adding a double pump for us impatient moms soon! Look for Tommee Tippee at Babies “R” Us, and add this pump to your registry.
