What They Don’t Tell You About Aging (Until It’s Too Late)

Sir Naps-A-Lot

Back to our little example with Grandma nodding off on the couch. Aging means needing more power naps throughout the day to recharge your batteries. The good thing is that power naps are completely healthy and will even boost your mental acuity throughout the day. Even if you struggle with getting enough sleep throughout the night from disturbances, like checking on the kids or letting the dog out to go potty, a power nap or two will help you a lot. Quality sleep is important, after all.

That said, you need to remember that struggling with chronic fatigue is not normal, even for senior citizens. Lethargy and apathy are often connected to diseases and mental illnesses. Note your fatigue if your family has a history of cardiovascular issues. Talk to a medical professional as soon as you can to get more information.
