“Places To Visit: Our Trip To Aventura Cove Palace, Riviera Maya Mexico”

Hi Everyone! Kendra here. I am one of the travel editors for Modern Day Moms and I work with many international properties that I will be featuring on the site in the near future as well as today. This post is part of our Places To Visit series where we highlight some of the most fascinating places and share with you a few details as if you were experiencing it for yourself. If you have any questions about this property or would like more information, please feel free to leave a comment below..

Today’s amazing feature is the Aventura Cove Palace, soon to be rebranded Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in early 2013. This property is located in Riviera Maya, Mexico!

Let’s get to the cool stuff.. Modern Day Moms received an exclusive invitation to be a part of the Summer with the Stars and spent an ultimate all-star weekend, where we kicked off our summer in style. We participated in a multi-day event full of exciting celebrity performances, parties, contests and more (so much more).

We spent a beautiful week at Aventura Cove Palace (soon to be rebranded Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya) interacting with some of the nation’s favorite actors, reality stars and American Idol finalists. Yes, really. It was NUTS.

Recently partnered with HIT Entertainment, the All Inclusive Collection is incorporating some of the world’s most popular children’s brands to its resorts in the region, featuring Thomas & Friends®, Barney®, Bob the Builder® and Angelina Ballerina® in the newly designed kids clubs and interactive kids’ areas at each property. Little Big Club will include themed play areas, creative craft activities, access to musical instruments and mini theatre for movie nights and dance classes.

The day we arrived, we were able to get in some much needed sun, pool and beach relaxation time.

Our fabulous room:

…and bath:

View from the balcony:

That evening, we took part in the PopStar! Karaoke Contest on the Mundaca Terrace:

The next day, we spent a fabulous time away from the resort on an Xcaret Excursion.

Xcaret is a natural park that treasures the best of the traditions and culture of Mexico, a paradise that combines the natural beauty and cultural wealth of the country and the region.

Xcaret features underground rivers, natural pools and a myriad of attractions such as the first Butterfly Pavilion in Mexico, a Coral Reef Aquarium, which is one of the few places in the world where reef structures can be seen in their natural habitat and a nursery for regional fauna, which has received recognition from Guinness World Records for having achieved the highest number of macaws born in the same facility during a year.

The food… was amazing:

That evening, we walked the red carpet with the stars and friends:

After the red carpet extravaganza, we got to experience the Summer with the Stars All Star Jam & PopStar! VIP Backstage After Party:

The next day, we had the Little Big Club Official Ribbon Cutting and Tour followed by a Live Show Red Carpet Event that evening:

Aventura Cove Palace, soon to be branded as Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in early 2013, is the ultimate family escape, offering 489 well-appointed guest rooms and countless family-friendly amenities and activities. A Kids’ Club and Teen Lounge offer daily activities to keep younger family members busy with inlet coves for snorkeling and kayaking, expansive outdoor pool with games and kids wading area, rock climbing wall, basketball court, bicycle rentals and unlimited snacks. Aventura Cove’s three restaurants satisfy the whole family with an array of cuisines from traditional Mexican to family favorites such as pizza and pasta. Parents can wind down at four bars with top shelf drinks, snacks and the company of other adults.

We met some wonderful friends on this trip and it will absolutely be one that I will never forget.
