Have you tried raw coconut butter? No.. it’s not really “butter” but it is way way more delicious!
I came across Artisana Organic Raw Coconut Butter last year and love it, LOVE it on oatmeal!
This below is peach instant oatmeal with a dash of milk & melted coconut butter on top. *heaven*
It is also good in recipes, especially stir fry. Great in thai food and delicious melted on top of banana bread. The best thing about this is it needs NO refrigeration. A tip from Artisana: “Mix Artisana Coconut Butter with Agave Nectar, Vanilla, and a pinch of Sea Salt for a fantastic raw frosting (sandwich it between two cookies…YUM!!!).”
Ingredients: 100% Organic, Raw Coconut
Notably absent: pesticides, artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, stabilizers, added oils, GMO’s.
Contains absolutely no Peanuts, Gluten, or Dairy
You can purchase it from amazon: Artisana Organic Raw Coconut Butter 16oz
How about you can make your own? All you need is a food processor, unsweetened shredded coconut, and a little bit of time! Recipe here.

14 years agoI use the coconut oil (I’m assuming it’s the same as the butter…looks the same) for skin care for my baby and myself. It is GREAT for diaper rash and I’ve heard for eczema, too. I haven’t tried to eat it yet though, because that seems weird after you slather on a baby butt!

13 years agoNo coconut butter has actual coconut flesh. Especially the brand above. My husband bought it by accident once. It is best to use as spreads. It is kind of like peanut butter yet made with coconut. I ate the whole jar by eating a spoonfull a day. Try it you will like it.

It’s super great in rice. I made rice last night with pigeon peas, chicken broth, seasonings and the coconut butter… super YUMMY!
